Two Steps Back

Well, Oklahoma, you've done it. One of the bills we discussed recently, Senate Bill 1433, passed the senate 34-8. I won't get bent out of shape, because like many others, I'm not surprised. There's a slim chance of it failing in the House, but don't hold your breath on that. Our esteemed Governor Mary Fallin, known worldwide for her steadfast stances on science, family values, sciencefrugality, personal responsibility, limited government, and practicality will then have a chance to veto the bill and protect womens' rights.

Since it doesn't look so good, and because if I keep looking at lists of idiot things Fallin has done I'll upchuck my midnight snack of iffy cheese and honey roasted peanuts, here are some fun facts about the human rights you can now lobby for on behalf of your soon-to-be personfetus:

  • UN Article 9: No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.
    • Hey dad, argue that your personfetus is being held against his will in the womb!
  • UN Article 15:  (2) No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality.
    • Hey, mom! Apply for Canadian citizenship for your little bundle of tissue!
  • UN Article 17: (1) Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others.
    • Start an LLC with your little one! Give him controlling stock, commit fraud and pin it on him!

Let's think of other fun things we can do with our personfetuses. C'mon, it'll be a blast(ocyst)!
